SWS Certification Services Ltd is approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency and the company works hard to maintain its DOA (Design Organisation Approval) status. Our company is regularly audited, both internally and by EASA, to ensure we continue to offer the approval and safety standards required by EASA and expected by our customers.

SWS has EASA Part 21, Subpart J approval status for STC (Supplementary Type Certificates), Minor Design Change & Repair approvals and Major Repair approvals (to products for which SWS holds the STC) on large and small aeroplanes and rotorcraft in accordance with CS-23, CS-25, CS27 & CS-29 in the following areas:

  • Avionics and their installation.
  • Electrical Systems
  • Structures
  • Cabin Interiors
  • Galley and other Interior Equipment

The company is also experienced in FAA (US) certification specifically for seats and berths and can also provide electrical equipment, hardware and software approvals, in accordance with EUROCAE ED14/RTCA DO-160, EUROCAE ED12/RTCA DO-178 and EUROCAE ED80/RTCA DO-254 requirements.

An EASA Compliance Verification Engineering (CVE) service is also available upon request covering mechanical and electrical disciplines.
